Welcome to Goodhue High School

My name is Michele Rehder and I am honored to serve as principal at Goodhue High School. I've spent 19 wonderful years in the classroom and I will use that experience to help serve students and staff. I'm looking forward to a exciting year of learning and working with students, staff, and parents.
My philosophy is that all students can learn. I'm committed to putting what's best for kids at the forefront of all decision making. One of our goals at the high school is to focus on developing student relationships and helping students reach their full potential. I am challenging staff and students to Strive for Excellence and create learning targets for each course based on academic standards. We are proud to have made the transition into Standards Based Grading a few years ago. Student mastery towards learning standards is a more accurate way to assess student learning. I look forward to conversations on how we can improve learning for all students. Goodhue has always had strong community support for the school and I am looking forward to partnering with students, staff, and families to provide a safe and high quality education for all students.
